What is a Psychic?

July 10, 2013

A psychic is someone who can perceive information that one is not usually aware of through the normal senses. This is sometimes called extra sensory perception. A psychic will tune into an energy of an object or a person and will intuitively be able to explain or read that energy. It is quite different to mediumship where the information will usually come from the realm of spirit where a psychics information will usually be coming from their own intuition, thoughts and feelings. There are many people in the world who are quite psychic and don’t actually know it. They usually get thoughts or feeling when something bad is about to happen, they can tell when someone is telling lies to them or sometimes they can always feel what mood a person is in when they are around them.

There are people who do realize there gifts and develop them on a regular basis. They also sometimes use them to make money and devote their life to being “spiritual councilors”. Many people get much help from psychic’s as they can sometimes pick up on any negative situations they are going through and intuitively point them in the right direction.

The word psychic is derived from the Greek word for soul, there are many critics for modern day psychics as it is hard to prove in modern day science.

Famous psychic’s include Uri Geller who is said to have worked for the US government in top secret operations. The US government have done much research into the psychic phenomenon, some that we know and some that we don’t.

Psychics are not always mediums, most mediums are psychics’s. What is a medium?
